Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for the accuracy of the family records you enter. You must be at least 16 years old, or have a guardian's permission, to create an account.

Acceptable use

• — Do not add personal data about living relatives without their consent, and do not upload records that belong to another member's tree without permission.
• — Do not scrape, bulk-harvest or reverse-engineer the Kin Network, or attempt to access another member's private tree.
• — Do not use Kinroots for anything unlawful. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms.

Kin Plus subscription

Kin Plus is a rolling monthly subscription at €5. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. See our refund policy for the full details. The Free plan remains free forever.

Kin Network & matching

Merging copies a branch from another member's discoverable tree into yours. Results depend on what others have chosen to share, and a merge is final once you confirm it. You remain responsible for the accuracy of your own tree after any merge.

Intellectual property

Your family tree and the records you enter remain yours. We hold a limited licence only to display and process them to provide the service, including Kin Network matching while your tree is discoverable.

Liability & warranty

Kinroots is provided "as is". We work hard to keep your data safe and accurate within the app, but we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for the accuracy of records contributed by other members. Nothing here limits any statutory consumer rights you have under the law of your country of residence.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms and will note the date below. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms. See also our Privacy Policy.
